Three Awesome Weeks

I have finally had the chance to take a breath after three amazing weeks of racing.  To get the opportunity to race three weekends in a row at three different tracks in two different cars was truly unbelievable.

Week one Queensland Raceway Rd 6 of Track Attack Excel Cup incorporating the EFS 4×4 Accessories 170km Enduro.  Was great to finally find all of the gremlins that have been causing all sorts of frustrations this season, didn’t get the overall result that I was hoping for as I was caught up in some on track issues but to have the engine performance, handling and brake issues all sorted definitely brought a smile to my face.  On Sunday I teamed up with Chris Holdt to tackle the 170km enduro and our result in this race was fantastic finishing 10th outright and on the lead lap.

Week two Sandown Raceway Rd 4 of the Australian Production Car Championship.  I loved this track and was immediately on the pace in the Prime Motorsports Mazda 3 SP 23.  I was able to finish 3 of the 1 hour races over the weekend with a gearbox issue sidelining me in race 4 however this was enough to secure the Class D win for the weekend.  Photo by SDPICS.com

Week three Lakeside Raceway Rd 7 of Track Attack Excel Cup.  This was my best round in my short Excel Cup racing career with my best outright finish of 7th and some great new PB lap times of the iconic Lakeside Raceway.  At the end of this weekend I have moved from 21st to 14th in the Excel Cup Championship.

I have 2 race meetings left in the 2019 season 2 – 3 Nov Rd 8 Excel Cup at Queensland Raceway and I will be teaming up with Chris Holdt again for the EFS 4X4 Accessories 200km Enduro after our result in the 170km Enduro we are aiming for a top 5 finish.

The last meeting of the year is 15 – 17 Nov Rd 5 of the Australian Production Cars Championship at Tailem Bend SA.  This round will have another 4 x 1 Hour races I will be running the Prime Motorsports Mazda 3 SP 23 again and sharing the driving duties with Jayson Cassells.
